How far is a typical 'stay away' distance in a CHRO?

100 yards is the most common default. The court will tailor it — if you live within 100 yards of each other (apartment building neighbors), the order will carve out 'except when at the residences' but add specific no-contact, no-common-area provisions. Ask for the distance you actually need, not the biggest number you can think of. Judges are more likely to grant what's specifically tailored to the harm.
