Breaking lease for divorce reasons

Going through divorce. Apartment is in both names. He moved out. I can't afford it. What's the cleanest way to break the lease?

Talk to the landlord first — many will let you out with 30-60 days notice if you cover relisting fees. If they won't, you can sometimes assign the lease to a new tenant. Cleanest path is usually communication.
