Clerk rejected my judgment package — what now?
Got a rejection slip with three items checked. Feeling defeated. Anyone been through this?

Family-law attorney, Long Beach. Rejections are routine — judgment packages have 8-12 documents and any one missing date, missing signature, or wrong attached schedule trips it. The most common kicks I see are: missing the FL-141 (proof you served the prelim disclosures), missing the FL-130 (appearance/stipulation/waivers), and a child-support guideline printout that's been edited rather than re-run. Re-running guideline software fresh is faster than arguing. Cure and refile — your filing date stays.
Yes — twice. Don't take it personally, the clerks are checking very narrow technical things. Read each checked box, fix exactly that, and resubmit. Mine cleared on the third try.
