Missed my TPS re-registration window. Now what?

Re-registration deadline passed. I have a good reason but I'm panicking.

Late TPS re-registration is acceptable for 'good cause' — USCIS construes this generously when the applicant explains the delay credibly (illness, family emergency, lack of notice, prior counsel error). File the I-821 + I-765 immediately with a written statement explaining the good cause AND the supporting evidence (medical records, etc.). Don't wait — every additional day weakens the good-cause showing. If the country designation is currently under DHS review or being terminated, the analysis changes — get a quick consult.
