Limited scope lawyer — anyone tried that route

Heard you can pay a lawyer to do just one part of the case (like one hearing). Has anyone done this? Was it actually cheaper?

Hired one for my RFO hearing only. $750 flat. She prepped the declaration and went with me. Best money I spent in the whole case.
