Lawyer wants $15k retainer for a contested divorce

Talked to two lawyers, both want $10-15k up front. I have $4k saved. Are there real low cost options for someone in my situation or is everyone just selling that line?

Try a limited-scope arrangement. Pay a lawyer for the hardest parts (motions, trial prep) and handle the rest yourself with self-help center support. Saved us 60%.
