How is custody actually decided when parents disagree

We can't agree on anything. He wants 50/50. I want primary with weekends to him. He works 7-7 and travels. How does the judge actually decide?

Best interest of the child is the standard. Judges weigh stability, who's been the primary caretaker, work schedules, ability to co-parent. They listen to a lot of factors, not just one.
