How do I serve someone I can't find

Spouse moved and changed his number 2 years ago. No social media. His mom won't tell me. Can the court still process the divorce somehow?

Service by publication is a last resort. First the court wants to see documented diligent search efforts — friends, family, social media, last known employer. The self-help center has a checklist.
