How did you keep from sending the angry text?

He provokes me daily over text. The case wants me to look calm. How did you NOT send the response?

I had a rule: never reply same hour. Type it out, save as draft, walk away. Come back in an hour and it was always cleaner. Often I deleted it entirely.

OurFamilyWizard's Tone Meter saved me literally a hundred times. The yellow/red bar before sending made me pause and rewrite.

My therapist's framing changed it for me — 'every message is evidence.' Once I started thinking of texts as exhibits, the tone got controlled fast.
