An e-signature is your name typed or drawn in a special signing box. Lawma records who you are, what you signed, and the exact time you signed it. The full record gets stored alongside the document.

Yes. California's Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (Civ. Code §1633) says e-signatures are valid the same way handwritten ones are. A court will accept an e-signed document as long as the system keeps proof of who signed and when.

When you click the sign button we capture your IP address, your browser, and the moment you clicked. We also lock the document with a math fingerprint (a hash) so anyone tampering with it later would be obvious. All of that gets bundled into an "evidence record" you can download.

Yes. The signing screen works the same on mobile and desktop. Some people prefer drawing their signature with a finger; some prefer typing it. Either is fine.
