Yes, this is one of Chapter 13's superpowers. Filing triggers the automatic stay — all collection, including a scheduled foreclosure sale, halts immediately (sometimes mid-day on the sale date). The Ch 13 plan then lets you cure the arrears over the 3-5 year plan period while you resume making the regular monthly payment going forward. As long as the plan is feasible (you can show the income to make both the arrears catch-up AND the regular payment), the court confirms it and you keep the house.
