How soon did you introduce a new partner to the kids?

I've been dating someone for 8 months. Other parent is furious that I might introduce them to our kids. Curious how other people handled this.

We agreed on a 6-month rule and gave each other a heads-up before the introduction. It removed a huge amount of conflict.

Our therapist suggested an introduction as a 'friend,' low-key activity, daytime. No sleepovers in the same house until the kids are comfortable. Our kids are 8 and 11.
