How do I tell my 6 year old we're getting divorced

She's been asking why daddy doesn't sleep at home. I keep saying he's at work. She knows something is wrong. Has anyone found a script that actually worked?

We used the book 'Two Homes' and read it together. Then said one sentence: 'mom and dad are not going to live in the same house anymore, but we both love you the same.' She cried. We cried. Then she asked about dinner. They process it slower than we do.
