Father's Day weekend and dad doesn't show

He didn't pick them up. No call. No text. Kids are devastated. Do I just take them to do something fun?

Yes — take them somewhere fun. Don't make it about him. Document the no-show with date and time stamps in case it comes up later. They'll remember you showed up, not him.
