Are emergency rent-relief programs still open?

I lost my job last month and I'm two months behind. Any programs that still pay back rent?

Most of the federal ERAP money is exhausted, but many counties and faith-based programs still have rent-relief funds. Call 211 first — they have the current list for your county. Catholic Charities, Salvation Army, and St. Vincent de Paul all run programs in most counties. Some require a 3-day or eviction notice in hand to qualify (so don't toss it). Also ask your landlord directly whether they'll accept a written payment plan — many will, especially if a charity can pay a chunk up front.
